How about a gathering? Or a delightful escape? Do you want to feel warm or joyful or migratory or salt-encrusted? We do...
Clearly Beloved is a gathering of five musicians, friends and storytellers. They write and orchestrate songs about fishermen; homesteaders; the feeling you get the moment before a shark attack; the flight of a carrier pigeon. Having at their disposal guitar, drums, bass,
violins, marimbas, vocals, hand bells, toy piano, viola and glockenspiel, they are not opposed to using anvil and hammer, when the song calls for it. Nor are they opposed to dancing a tango with large paper mache dolls when required. They have not written about heartbreak, but do have songs about baking bread.
Gathering in 2011, Clearly Beloved just finished recording their first EP in March, The City I am Building is for You, at the reputable Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, WA. It is to be released later this year. Clearly Beloved was delighted to share the stage with renowned artists such as Faun Fables, Rachel Sage and Steve Fisk in Seattle, 2011.
Creative collective crafting cleverly courageous cacophonies. Clearly.
The duet Finn Doxie puts their singular stamp on modern popular and alternative hits by interweaving percussive guitar with the Celtic harp. Adding dual vocal harmonies and foot-percussion elevates their music to the richness of sound normally associated with larger bands. They alternate musical styles between energetic, beat-driven indie-pop and expressive and intimate ballads, adding a dash of quirky re-orchestrated club hits to give spice to their show.
The duet injects their signature style into favorites by bands like The Killers, The Verve, Coldplay, All-American Rejects, Jack White, Imagine Dragons, Blue October, and Snow Patrol.
